In a recent event, a heartfelt letter from Jolie to Pitt written in January 2021 has resurfaced. The contents of this letter have gone viral, and it reveals where their problems began.
The contents of the letter
The letter was extremely emotional and heartfelt. The Lara Croft actor claimed to have chosen to put the contents in writing to avoid getting emotional about selling her share of the winery that the couple co-owned.
As per ET, Jolie wrote the following, 'It is the place we brought the twins home to, and where we were married over a plaque in my mother’s memory.' She is also said to have written that she will always treasure the memories she had there.
Where did the problem begin for Jolie?
However, Jolie also said that the winery 'is also the place that marks the beginning of the end of our family.' The problems began when Pitt started a business centered around the thing that apparently tore their family apart - alcohol. It is no fresh news that Jolie has filed a case against the Fight Club actor for allegedly abusing their family under the influence of alcohol in an incident on their private jet.
She also mentioned the fact that Pitt made her feel excluded from their businesses and went ahead and made decisions without consulting her.
The impact on their children
Given Pitt’s alleged behavior while under the influence, running an alcohol business wasn’t a good example to set for their children, according to Jolie. She added that it was irresponsible, unhealthy for the children, and isn’t something they would want to see, as per Daily Mail.
In the letter, Jolie also urged her ex-husband for an outright sale of the property or to buy her shares so that she could move on from this challenging part of her life.
