"I love all my children, of course, equally. But I am definitely stricter with the boys than I am with Harper. I can’t say no to her. I think I only said no to her once; her bottom lip started shivering and I was like: 'Never again.'"

He also confessed:

"I have no power with that little girl – no power whatsoever."

The Beckham family’s golden rule: manners matter most

The guidelines aren’t just about screens or dating – at their core, it’s about building character. Victoria Beckham laid out the true foundation of their parenting when she told Allure in 2023:

"Work hard. Be kind. Be nice. Making eye contact is important. Be polite, shake hands, those kinds of things."

Whether it’s working hard at school, greeting adults with a handshake, or remembering to say please and thank you, there’s no compromise. These standards apply as much to the Beckham boys as to Harper – even if her dad sometimes finds it a little harder to enforce the penalties!
