These actors have gone bankrupt

A sudden twist has left Kerry Katona questioning what’s next for her family. The TV personality revealed that the private school her youngest daughter, Dylan-Jorge, attends will close later this year—a shockwave that’s got her seriously considering uprooting everything. Juggling the practical fallout with her own struggles, Kerry doesn’t hide how the uncertainty is weighing on her.

“I feel so emotional and anxious all the time.”

But could this moment actually be the push she and partner Paolo Margaglione needed to launch their long-imagined escape abroad?

Big changes ahead for the Katona family

It was only recently that Kerry received the news:

“I recently got a message announcing they are shutting DJ’s school down in July. Molly, Lilly and Heidi all went to that school, so I am truly gutted.”

For any parent, hearing your child’s school is closing would spark worry. For Kerry, the timing couldn’t be tougher. Applications for new schools have proven tricky, especially as Dylan-Jorge doesn’t have siblings in those places, meaning she’s ended up on waiting lists. The pressure is real for Kerry just to secure her daughter an education—let alone keep family life stable.

Is it time for a fresh start in Spain?

This moment of upheaval seems to be accelerating plans that were already being considered. Back in February, Kerry and Paolo sat down with OK! magazine and mapped out their dream:

“Hopefully somewhere hot and sunny. The idea is, at some point, to potentially move away from the UK. It’s something I wanted to do and something Kerry’s wanted, too.”

Now, the school situation feels like a nudge from fate.

“I’m wondering if this is a sign to up and leave to Spain and start fresh…” she mused in her column, just days before jetting off to Marbella with Paolo.

The pair attended a full-day spiritual retreat at Conscious Hub, guided by Colin and Ariana, seeking clarity and a serious reset. Kerry shared with readers:

“Last time I did it, I was crying like a baby. I released tears I didn’t realise I had. It’s so powerful. And I feel like I need to press the reset button before my tour.”

Keeping it together amidst the whirlwind

It hasn’t just been school stress on Kerry’s mind. She candidly described the rush of modern life:

“We live in a really crazy world at the moment, it’s so scary.”

Even small things, like forgetting underwear before recording Dilly Carter’s Sort Your Life Out Unpacked podcast last week, become anecdotes that show how all-consuming the chaos is. Yet Kerry is trying to stay active—she and her daughter Heidi enjoyed Pilates together, and she’s still buzzing from a recent “Kerry-Oke” gig down in Poole. Still, health is top of mind:

“I need to get my cardio up otherwise I’m gonna be in trouble – but I’ve got time to prepare.”

With a tour coming up, Kerry’s fighting to carve out positivity, no matter where life—and fate—might be sending her family next.
