He moved to London and became a reporter and overnight editor at Express.co.uk and Dailystar.co.uk. He transitioned into GB News after talkRADIO where he co-hosted To The Point with Mercy Muroki every weekday on the 9am to 12pm slot, then did a standalone show on Fridays until he received the opportunity to move to prime time two years after joining GB News.
GB News published a news release on Monday 13 November announcing the appointment to the prime time slot along with two new shows: Friday Night Live and Good Afternoon Britain. according to the press release, GB News' head of programming said:
Patrick is the ultimate people’s champion for The People’s Channel. He’s authentic, entertaining, relatable and a sharp journalist who can hold any interviewee to account.
Patrick took to X to share the news release and stated:
Thank you to all the wonderful viewers and listeners that have made my time at @GBNEWS so magical. I will be doing the 9-11pm show, Patrick Christys Tonight, until further notice. I can promise you that I will give it my all ❤️
It is not yet known what this announcement means for Dan Wootton's status within GB News butit looks like the organization has begun to slowly distance itself from the presenter.
