2023 hasn’t been Dan Wootton’s year – in July it was alleged by both his ex partner, Alex Truby, and Byline Times that he was involved in catfishing former colleagues as well as sexually harassing and bullying them.

Later on in the year, Byline continued their investigation to reveal that Wootton made ‘payments to the partner of a top royal aide’ which led to ‘the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to run from the UK’.

At first these allegations were publicly ignored by GB News which allowed Wootton to stay on air. Then at the end of September, Wootton was suspended from the channel after what was called a ‘sexist rant’ from actor turned politician Laurence Fox. Since then, Wootton has been keeping a low profile. Just in the last month has he started posting on Instagram again showing his family time.

Who is Dan Wootton’s partner?

Not much is known about Dan Wootton’s partner except that his name is Alan Longair. The two celebrated their three year anniversary in May 2023. In March of that same year, in a celebratory post to mark Wootton’s 40th birthday, the presenter referred to Longair as ‘the love of my life.’

According to Alan Longair’s RocketReach account he works in Marketing. He graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree after going to City of Glasgow College to get a Higher National Diploma in 2013.

It is unknown how Longair has reacted to the serious and worrying claims made against Wootton over the summer of 2023 but in his only address about the scandal on GB News, Wootton had tender words for him.

The last few years, I’ve grown professionally and personally and I’ve also found the meaning of true love (...) I found happiness in my personal life with my wonderful boyfriend who is here tonight

What’s awaiting Dan Wootton in 2024?

Though at this point any statements made can only be based on speculation, it seems legitimate to assume that Dan Wootton will be making a comeback in 2024. Indeed, it is unlike him to stay silent as he has in the last few months.

Moreover, the presenter himself has hinted at a return on social media. At the very beginning in January we reported on a video message Wootton had shared with his fans via X. In that video he stated:

Do not believe the rumours. I am back on a plane to the UK in 2024.

It is true that after he was suspended from GB News the word was that he was returning to New Zealand.

Now, about a month later, Wootton has himself announced that 2024 is going to be a significant year. In the caption he wrote:

Family is everything - my absolute rocks have got me ready for the very real and very important fight ahead in 2024.

He also promises:

You’ll be hearing much more from me very soon.

Could Dan Wootton return to GB News? Well, though the network has made moves to cover his absence, Express writes that it put Wootton’s photo back onto their presenter website page.

What do you think this could mean? Are you looking forward to hearing what Dan has to say?
