We don't think about it enough, and yet, cleaning the kettle is essential. Here are some tips on how to take good care of it.
The kettle is one of the kitchen essentials that we use every day. The only drawback is that it can quickly become scaly and deteriorate. To take care of it, there are a few simple and effective tips to be applied daily. Here they are.
The white vinegar trick
To remove the limescale from your kettle, pour in 1 large glass of white vinegar and 1/2 litre of water. Boil it all. Then rinse with clear water. There will be no trace of limescale.
The baking soda trick
To descale your kettle, pour 1 tablespoon of baking soda and add 1 large glass of water. Bring it to the boil and that's it!
The pebble trick
Even if this trick may seem old-fashioned, it works very well. Place a pebble at the bottom of the device, this will prevent limescale from forming. Replace the pebble as soon as its colour becomes whitish.
The lemon trick
Finally, pour 1 litre of water into the kettle and add lemon juice. Bring to the boil, and your device will be descaled and disinfected. Almost too easy, isn't it?
