Earlier this month, a post by a food blogger set the Internet abuzz with the possibility of McDonald’s bringing back its Halloween special Happy Meal buckets, which were first introduced back in 1986. In the past couple of years, fan have been demanding the company to bring these back.

After much speculation and a lot of anticipation on the part of McDonald’s fans, as reported by Today, the fast-food company has finally confirmed that indeed this Halloween, McDonald’s is bringing back its iconic Halloween pails and it would be available from October 18 in participating restaurants.
McDonald’s confirmation of its Halloween special release
McDonald’s issued a statement on October 6 confirming that the its Halloween Happy Meal will be coming back along with the most awaited Halloween collectible: the McDonald’s Halloween Pails.
There are three different kinds of pails- McBoo, McPunk’n and McGoblin. These special Halloween Happy Meals would be available between Oct. 18 – 31, while supplies last.
McDonald’s Halloween Pails are multi-purpose
It has been six years since these pails were last released by the company. According to its press statement,
They may have vanished for a while... but that didn’t stop you from finding clever ways to keep their spooky spirit alive – from potting plants in them to using them as OOTD accessories.
McDonald’s also shared some unique ways to use these pails and encouraged fans to share their creative ideas of how these Halloween pails could be used.
