McDonald’s released a limited-edition Happy Meal for adults last week, which came with collectibles and merch. Called, Cactus Plant Flea Market Box, McDonald’s, fans couldn’t wait to lay their hands on this nostalgic nod to Happy Meals of their childhood.

Unfortunately, British McDonald’s fans have had their dreams dashed because of some very unfortunate announcement that has followed the release. As reported byDaily Mail, these adult Happy Meals would be sold exclusively in the US and would not be available to its British fans.
No adult Happy Meals in the UK
According to Manchester Evening News,they contacted McDonald’s about the availability of the Happy Meal in Britain. The company confirmed that they have no plans of rolling out the new menu item in the UK. A spokesperson is quoted as saying,
We have no plans to roll this out in the UK.
The website's announcement of the bad news on Facebook attracted widespread disappointment and anger from fans at missing out on the new release.
One person is quoted as saying,
No happiness for the UK!
While another chimed in saying,
That doesn't make me HAPPY at all.
Another person expressed their dejection saying,
Absolutely devastating. [...] I won’t sleep at night knowing I won’t get an adult happy meal
Cactus Plant Flea Market Box is out now
In its latest Instagram post, McDonald’s has announced that these adultHappy Meals are now available in restaurants across the US. You can choose between a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets with medium Fries and drink.
The 4 collectibles released by McDonald’s in this adult Happy Meal edition are: Birdie®, Grimace®, Hamburglar® or Cactus Buddy! You would be able to lay your hands on 1 collectible in each meal box.
