You can get wine or prosecco Advent calendars from Aldi this Christmas

Whilst it’s looking like we may not be able to participate in all our usual festive traditions this year, Aldi has made sure that you will still be able to get merry with the return of their extremely popular wine advent calendar. Plus, this year there’s also a prosecco advent calendar available!

Gone are the days of Advent calendars only being for children. Nowadays, there are a whole range of grown-up Advent calendars–from luxury beauty advent calendars to cheese advent calendars, there’s something for everyone–but the one we’ve got our eye on this year is Aldi’s wine advent calendar.

After its immense popularity in previous years, Aldi have confirmed that their wine advent calendar is returning to shelves for 2020. Filled with 24 mini bottles of red, white, rosé and sparkling wine, this advent calendar is sure to set you up for a very merry Christmas–even if all the pubs are closed.

A bargain

Retailing at £49.99, the bottles in the advent calendar are 187.5ml each whilst the prosecco comes in a 200ml bottle. That means that each bottle costs just over £2–which is quite a bargain really! Aldi’s wine advent calendar is set to go on sale both online and in store on Sunday 1st November.

If you’re feeling a bit more flash–or you just a big fan of the bubbly–Aldi are also selling a prosecco advent calendar, filled with 24 mini bottles of sparkling wine. This version is just £10 more expensive than Aldi’s wine Advent calendar–costing £59.99, an average of just under £2.50 a bottle.
