Prince Harry and Meghan: '2024 is going to be seismic' for the couple

Omid Scobie published his second book on the Royal Family, Endgame. In the book, he talks about the moment Prince Harry and Meghan claimed that two members of the Royal Family were concerned about how dark Archie’s skin would be.

Until recently, the two names had been kept secret, but the Dutch version of Scobie’s book revealed the members. Though at first the UK press refused to give the names, Piers Morgan decided to name the royals as Princess Kate and King Charles. Due to the scandal, some experts believe that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s future is in jeopardy as brands or agencies may not want to work with them anymore.

Meghan has recently been hinting at future projects at recent events, but will they follow through amid the current scandal?

Omid Scobie’s book could end the Sussexes’ careers

As reported by Daily Mail, Omid Scobie’s book has not worked in Prince Harry and Meghan’s favour as the Royal Family have remained silent about the claims and have been carrying on as if nothing has happened.

As a result of Scobie’s book, Meghan and Harry’s futures could be in trouble, indeed, according to one of Britain’s most experienced crisis managers, Mark Borkowski, Meghan's relaunch into Hollywood is ‘clearly not working’.

Meghan recently signed a contract with William Morris Endeavor (WME) mega-agent Ari Emanuel, who has Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Serena Williams among some of their clients.

However, it is rumoured that the agency is now rethinking signing Meghan on as the 'Hollywood machine’ has ‘probably had enough of them and enough of the negativity’.

Borkowski told Daily Mail:

Something is beginning to unwind at the heart of Meghan and Harry. I think 2024 is going to be seismic, either because they're going to do something to recover and find a new positive tactic or it's going to be the undoing of the brand.
It can only go one or two ways. It can't stay where it is at the moment. Because it's clearly not working.

Meghan Markle has been hinting at upcoming projects

Borkowski also talked about the fact that Meghan has been hinting at upcoming projects when she attends events but it is something that she has been doing for a while now and the Duchess of Sussex needs to ‘deliver something now’.

We've see countless appearances of Meghan on red carpets. The story of her being back in play in Hollywood is all about Meghan trying to return to her own turf and being available for work and getting back to Hollywood.

Adding:

They're hinting their big plans ahead, but you know, we've heard that all before. So they have to deliver something now.

Meghan Markle may be dropped by WME

However, Borkowski believes that Meghan may be dropped by WME as her attempts to bring down the Royal Family have not worked:

I suspect this is in fact true. It just shows that constant erosion of the institution is not working.

Nick Ede, a brand and culture expert also spoke with Daily Mail about the devastating effects Endgame has had on the couple. He explained that the impact is similar to the one Spare had on Prince Harry.

The book written by Omid Scobie is potentially a career incendiary device for Meghan. Just as Harry's own goal of a book has proved for him

He added that Hollywood agents may not want to work with Meghan as they fear ‘more will come out over time’ and as a result, the former Suits star has ‘tarnished her reputation’.

But she's proving to be too hot to handle and, even though she hasn't said anything about the book, she's guilty by association and this is damaging for her and others as she plots her next career move.
