One would think that the current King and Queen Consort or the future King and Queen – Prince William and Kate Middleton – would be Britons top choice to meet and greet. However, in a fun new survey, Prince Harry has emerged as the winner beating his brother, wife and his father.

Not so unpopular, after all

Prince Harry was deemed one of the most unpopular Royal Family members after he stepped down from Royal duties and moved to the USA. A recent ‘demotion’ of the Sussex couple by the Royal Family further put them down.

However, it appears that amidst his upcoming tell-all memoir and Netflix docuseries, the Prince is more famous than expected. According to a survey conducted by WeLoveBrum.co.uk, Prince Harry is the top choice of Royal that Britons would like to have a beer with in their local pub.

The Duke surprisingly beat other senior and working Royals like Prince William, Kate Middleton, King Charles and Queen Consort. Daily Star reported, Kate Middleton was a popular second choice, while the Prince of Wales was third.

What’s even more surprising is that Meghan Markle made it to the top five as she secured the fourth position and I’m A Celeb contestant Mike Tindall’s wife, Zara Tindall, was the fifth choice.

The votes

Reportedly, Prince Harry was clearly the favourite choice in most cities in the UK. These include:

  • London – 24%
  • Manchester – 27%
  • Nottingham – 31%
  • Liverpool – 20%
  • Belfast – 32%
  • Brighton – 22%
  • Glasgow – 28%

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton became the first choice in these cities:

  • Bristol – 31%
  • Cardiff – 24%
  • Norwich – 27%

And as for the King and Queen Consort – who might be too busy for a pint of beer – they came in 7th and 8th position respectively.
