Sima Auntie is back!

New location same format

While the viewers can expect a new location (London), the formatting of the show will most likely remain the same. In the previews, viewers see a new face, Priya, surrounded by a group of girlfriends discussing her dating woes. As noted in Bustle, like most cast-members, Priya is having a hard time finding her Indian love match. She has a list of wants and ideals in her future partner mostly focusing on what she is avoiding, like overly plucked eyebrows.

Matchmaking around the world

Sima, the famous matchmaker, has taken viewers around India and the US. Viewers have seen dates in the tri-state area in New York and New Jersey. One of the main showrunners from Season 1 and 2 is Aparna who is currently based in New York even while being matched with Darman from Los Angeles.

One of the highlights of Season 2 was Pradhyuman’s extravagant Indian wedding. Having followed his journey from Season 1, viewers were pleasantly surprised to see he found a match and quickly thereafter was ready to get married.

A new contestant

Each season follows several women and men in their late twenties onward looking to tie the knot. The cliffhanger of season 2 introduced a new contestant: Priya.

The newest single in London: Priya!

So far, we know Priya is currently a private chef that hosts supper clubs. In our first glances of the 35 year-old North Londoner we see her chef skills put to work for a group of girlfriends.

Seemingly outgoing, Priya knows more so what she does not want including ‘dragon shirts’. According to Bustle, like most previous contestants, she goes on to say:

“I don’t ask for too much. I don’t think I ask for too much at all.”

Will Priya find a match? Viewers will have to wait until next year to find out. For now, we’re just excited to know there’s a new backdrop for the next season of Indian Matchmaking.
