Vladimir Putin’s hands looked ‘veiny’

On Friday, September 15, Vladimir Putin met with Alexander Lukashenko, the Belararusian Preident. As the photos of the meeting emerged, X users quickly pointed out that the Russian President’s hands didn’t look particularly healthy, as reported by Express.

Indeed in the images, you can noticeably see Putin’s veins. Some X users believe it could be a side effect of cancer treatment.

One X user wrote:

V prominent blood vessels/veins? Seems perhaps an odd colour?

While another added:

Looks like scarring from intravenous injections, probably cancer treatment.

However, another user pointed out that as people age, their skin becomes thinner. Considering Vladimir Putin is almost 71, it can be expected that his skin doesn’t look young and healthy:

As you get older, your skin gets thinner and loses elasticity, making your veins more visible. Also, as you age, the valves in your veins weaken. This can cause blood to pool in your veins for a longer period of time. This enlarges the vein.
