1. Soak your feet for ten minutes in water mixed with 500ml of cider vinegar and 10ml of glycerine. The vinegar will attack the callus whilst the glycerine will hydrate your feet. If you don't have these products, you could also mix 2 litres of warm water with bicarbonate of soda.

2. Once the skin on your feet has softened, rub them with a pumice stone or exfoliating glove.

3. Massage your feet with a few drops of vegetable oil, such as apricot or argan oil, or shea butter. This will repair and protect the skin.

4. Repeat once a week as necessary.
