As Coleen performs a collection of her favourite songs across 16 locations, she revealed that her doctor gave her a worrying diagnosis after dealing with a patch of dry skin that wouldn’t heal.

Coleen Nolan has already dealt with cancer before. Indeed, in 2023 she was diagnosed with carcinoma and received treatment and the cancer cleared. Here’s everything we know so far.

Coleen Nolan diagnosed with cancer again

As reported by The Sun, Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has been diagnosed with cancer for the second time in a year. Nolan revealed that she had a patch of dry skin on her shoulder that could not clear.

When she finally decided to seek medical advice, her doctor explained that if left untreated it could be fatal as it was melanoma, a form of skin cancer that can spread to other parts of the body.

Coleen Nolan told The Sun:

I’ve got this tiny bit of dry skin. I’ve been saying for ages, it doesn’t matter how much oil or cream I put on it, it won’t go.

Adding:

But doctors said, 'that is pre melanoma, it will turn into skin cancer which is worse that carcinoma.

Coleen then explained that she will begin treatment for the melanoma once her tour ends.

I can’t treat it before the tour, if he said I need to do that now I absolutely would have but I explained I’m going on tour and he said it does need treating I wouldn’t leave it years but it does need treating.

The Nolan family has a history with cancer

Sadly for Coleen Nolan, this isn’t her first time dealing with cancer. As mentioned above, last year she dealt with carcinoma, a low-grade type of skin cancer. She was given a chemo cream to treat the cancer and it cleared.

I got skin cancer last year. I had carcinoma on my shoulder which has now gone, and had chemo cream on my shoulder so that burned that off.

Not only has Coleen Nolan had cancer before, but she also has a family history of the disease. Indeed, as per Wales Online, Coleen’s older sister Anne has been diagnosed with breast cancer twice and pulled through both times.

Her other sister, Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer too, but her’s spread to her liver and then her brain. Finally, her sister Bernie was also diagnosed with breast cancer but sadly succumbed to the disease in 2013, aged 53.

Coleen Nolan spoke about her most recent cancer diagnosis with Scott Thomas on his podcast, Learning As I Go, she jokingly explained that she wasn’t surprised she had been diagnosed with cancer as ‘cancer loves my family’.

She told Scott Thomas:

My sister has cancer in her brain so me coming home saying I’ve got pre-melanoma seems dramatic and pathetic but it’s not, it’s really serious and if I don’t treat it, it will be cancer.
