"Please don't leave me" Katie Price's struggle as her mum Amy faces hospitalisation
Katie Price has moved fans with a raw message to her terminally ill mother, Amy, opening up about her fears and the lengths their family is willing to go for her.
Katie Price, 48, has never shied away from sharing the ups and downs of her life. But lately, heartbreak overshadows the glamour. On Sunday 13 September 2026, Katie posted a heartfelt plea on Instagram Stories to her mum, Amy Price, who is battling idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Hospitalised and, in Katie's words, "really not well", Amy’s fight is a family affair. Katie’s messages pierce through the noise, revealing a daughter desperate not to say goodbye.
The emotional plea: Katie's message to her mum
The pain in Katie’s words is impossible to miss. On Instagram, she wrote:
"Mum, please don't leave me please find the strength to stay with me longer on this earth. You’re my EVERYTHING and you know I've turned everything around and you’re so proud of me."
Amy, diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis back in 2017, has outlived the initial prognosis – doctors warned then she had "less than five years" to live. Now, as her health declines, Katie’s sense of urgency is painfully clear.
Their relationship, public but intensely personal, shone through further as Katie wrote:
"Your eyes, my eyes, my voice, my strength, my absolute everything. You're a warrior and I'm your baby girl always and you love me through everything and held my hand. I can't lose you, not now, not EVER. I've NEVER loved anyone as much as you, you're my whole world."
Family on standby: how everyone is stepping up
If you thought celebrity life was all glitz, think again. Katie and her family are rallying. Amy, now 74, lives on the Isle of Wight, while Katie remains in Sussex. Last month, on The Katie Price Show podcast with her sister Sophie, Katie shared her plans:
"I said if there was like a little, I'm still having my house here. But I said if there were stables or something in the Isle of Wight, like a one-bedroom or two-bedroom, just little place for stables."
The family aren’t just watching on the sidelines. "We can all be the carer for mother because I think she needs help now and Paul needs help and it's not fair from Stuart on his own," Katie explained, stressing how caring for Amy requires everyone pitching in.
"So we're all taking it in turns. We've all decided as a family we've got to take it in turns. But that's what families do. You all looked after me when I needed it. And now mum needs looking after in a different way."
Sophie echoed the shared responsibility:
"then we could all help with mum, basically."
For the Prices, this isn’t just support, it’s a lifeline.
“Forever loving you”: Amy as inspiration and family anchor
For Katie, Amy is more than a mother—she’s the root of her strength and pride. Reflecting on a video of her mum, Katie’s message cut even deeper:
"A real mother that I've been blessed to have loved and guide me through life. There are no words to how much I love you mum. I will continue to make you proud and carry your love. You are my inspiration and I'm forever blessed. You are my mother in this world and beyond. Forever loving you."
Her story touches a nerve with anyone who’s watched a loved one suffer. The Prices’ experience reminds us: no celebrity status shields you from loss or the need for family.
