Moulin Rouge’s windmill turned into an Airbnb you can book for only one euro per night

A secret room inside the Moulin Rouge’s windmill that has never before been open to the public has been turned into an Airbnb, that guests can book for only one euro per night.

While it is one of Paris' most popular tourist destinations, many people do not know that there is a secret room hidden inside the famous Moulin Rouge (red mill). You can now book to stay in the room, which has never been open to the public, on Airbnb for only €1 per night.

A boudoir inspired by the Belle Époque

The room has been renovated into aboudoir inspired by the Belle Époque period in 19th-century Europe. It is decorated with antique, vintage, and ornamental objects, cabaret outfits and costumes, books by Voltaire, and a miniature paper replica of the theatre.

A complete Moulin Rouge experience

As a guest, you will meet lead Moulin Rouge dancer and Airbnb host Claudine Van Den Bergh, be served an apéritif on the private rooftop terrace, and enjoy a three-course dinner and classic Parisian breakfast prepared by resident chef Arnaud Demerville.

Guests will also have the opportunity to get a private backstage tour of the iconic venue, meet the cast of the show in their dressing room and take photos with them on stage, and have tickets to the cabaret performance Féerie.

Bookings open on May 17 on Airbnb's website and only three one-night stays are available on June 13, 20, and 27. Carmen Hernandez, an Airbnb representative, said there are currently no plans to extend the program.
