As reported by Daily Dot, a TikToker @abigailcaudy11 claimed that her food order from the popular fast-food restaurant Popeyes contained fried rat instead of actual chicken.

The TikTok where the customer shared her experience went viral with over 2 million views. But the video has been deleted by the creator since then.
As per Daily Dot, the video was shared on Oct. 18. In the video, the customer writes,
Ok, so tell me why I ordered some chicken and got home and they fried me up a freakin’ rat, y’all?
The video shows a piece of fried meat which looks like a rat with a long piece in the back which resembles a tail.
She adds a warning at the end of the video,
y’all, do not eat a Popeyes!! I’m beyond pissed.
Popeye contests claims
Many people reacting to the video argued that perhaps it was actually a less commonly served part of chicken, such as spine or neck, and hence looked strange.
Popeye contests the claims made by the video creator and is quoted as saying that they are
confident that no rodent is featured.
They further added,
Popeyes takes food safety and cleanliness very seriously. Our teams are working with local franchise owners to further investigate the culinary preparation that may have resulted in the poor presentation of this chicken.
