Princess Kate has been resting at home in Adelaide Cottage since leaving the hospital for surgery. The Princess of Wales has been spotted leaving her home.

In January, it was announced that Princess Kate had undergone a scheduled abdominal surgery and that it was successful. The Prince of Wales then spent 13 days as an in-patient at The London Clinic, the same hospital where King Charles was treated for an enlarged prostate.

Princess Kate is now continuing her recovery at home in Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor estate, with her husband, Prince William and their children and with the help of their live-in nanny, Maria Borrallo.

As it is now half-term in the UK, it is understood that Princess Kate has left Adelaide Cottage to spend time with her children in their holiday home.

As reported by People, Princess Kate was seen leaving Windsor estate and heading towards her and Prince William’s country home in Norfolk. Indeed, during half-term, Prince William and Princess Kate often travel up to their country home, Amner Hall with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Prince William, who had stepped back from Royal duties for a short period to look after his wife, recently attended two events, where he thanked the public for their messages of support for Princess Kate and that it ‘means a great deal to us all.’

Prince William and Princess Kate left for Amner Hall on Friday after their children broke up for half-term. A source told Daily Mail that the Princess of Wales was ‘looking forward to a change of scene’ and wanted the ‘children let off steam with William’.

According to Kensington Palace, the Princess of Wales is doing well but has asked for privacy and a sense of normality for the children. Therefore The Palace will only release updates if it is absolutely necessary.

A look inside Amner Hall

As Prince William and Princess Kate spend some quality time with their children in the country, let’s have a look at their £31 million country home.

As per Express, Amner Hall was built in 1802 and has been handed down to several members of the Royal Family over the years. Since being built, Amner Hall has undergone several renovations. In 2021, it was reported that it cost Prince William and Princess Kate £1.5million for their last renovation.

Amner Hall boasts 10 bedrooms and is on two floors, the country estate has 13 bays. The estate also has an outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court. When it comes to interior design, it has been described as a ‘mixture of contemporary designs and well-loved antiques’.

According to Express, Amner Hall’s interior was designed by Ben Pentreath, who has previously designed several houses for the Royal Family.
