She is now reported to be recovering well from her surgery with the help of her husband, close friends and family.

Let’s take a look at who these friends are.

Kate Middleton’s 4 best friends who are helping her recover from abdominal surgery

The Princess of Wales naturally has her entire family and a parade of royal aides to help her recover from her surgery. With Prince William taking a break from his Royal duties to take over household duties to her family and her nanny Maria Borrallo, she has a lot of support. Amongst these support pillars, The Express reports that there are 4 of her best friends who are also understood to be rallying around her in her road to recovery.

Emilia Jardine Paterson

Emilia is reportedly ‘irreplaceable’ in the Princess’ life. She studied at Marlborough College with Kate and introduced her to Prince William. In 2013, Kate asked Emilia Jardine Paterson to be one of Prince George's godmothers. The interior designer is also thought to be partly responsible for some of the redecoration at Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall.

Sophie Snuggs (nee Carter)

Like Emilia, Sophie is also one of the godmothers of Princess Charlotte. The Norfolk native has been spotted with the Prince and Princess on numerous occasions including Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018 and the Royal Christmas Day walk to church in Sandringham.

Lady Laura Meade

Lady Laura is not only Kate’s neighbour at Anmer Hall, but also wedded to one of Prince William’s friends. Her husband James went to Eton with Prince William and delivered a best man speech at his wedding to Kate in 2011. She is understood to be the godmother of Prince Louis.

Natasha Archer

Often labelled as Kate Middleton’s ‘right-hand woman,’ Natasha Archer is also her stylist. Natasha has proved herself very essential in Kate’s road to recovery and was the only friend spotted driving away from The London Clinic following Kate's stay there in January. Having been in Kate’s life for many years, Natasha was the first person outside of the Royal Family to meet Prince George.

Duchess Sophie is also a key member in Kate’s recovery

Apart from her strong long-term friendships with these 4 influential women, Kate has built strong friendships within the Royal Family as well. As such, many Royal Family members have willingly helped the Wales couple as the Princess recovers.

According to Royal expert Jennie Bond, one senior Royal is more likely to help her than others as she once experienced a ‘near fatal’ surgery. The Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie - who also became the first Royal to talk about menopause - was rushed to hospital to receive emergency surgery during her first pregnancy. The 37-year-old had a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy, reports The Express.

Jennie believes the kind-hearted Duchess could also be at Kate’s beck and call. She said:

Sophie will have been calling to see if she can help out. After all, she went through a near fatal emergency during the birth of her daughter Lady Louise and also suffered an ectopic pregnancy, so she knows exactly what it’s like to have major surgery and come through it.
