Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, Waitrose and Sainsbury's had to urgently act on the warning, clearing their shelves of dangerous treats.

The announcement concerns a whopping 21 products that are labelled ‘possible health risk’ by FSA.

The massive recall is one of many recent alerts that aim to keep customers safe.

A choking hazard has prompted Lidl to remove these chocolate treats from their shelves earlier in May, while salmonella fears triggered major UK supermarkets to ditch a wide rage of cheese products.

Worryingly, popular eye drops caused yet another death in the US, here are the brands to avoid.

These are the affected products from the latest recall.

Major supermarkets are forced to recall these healthy snacks

A range of lentil snacks by various brands has been recalled from major supermarket chains over health fears.

FSA warned that they may contain undeclared ingredients that are especially dangerous for people with gluten sensitivity and intolerance.

Tesco, Sainsbury's, Aldi, Lidl and Waitrose all had to act on the food alert by removing popular healthy snacks from the shelves.

The FSA labelled the items a ‘possible health risk’. They strongly advise customers who purchased them and have coeliac disease and/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten, to not eat the lentil bites.

Shoppers can return them to the store for a full refund.
