The products affected by this recall are:

  1. Ozona Probiotics for Digestive Health (intended for human use) - 4-ounce and 16-ounce bottles.
  2. GoHealthy Probiotics for Infants, Toddlers, and Kids - 2-ounce bottles.
  3. GoHealthy Probiotics for Infants, Kids, Men, and Women - 4-ounce bottles.
  4. Ozona Organics Probiotics for Dogs, Cats, Equine, and Swine (intended for animal use).

The Ozona Probiotics for Digestive Health and GoHealthy Probiotics for Infants, Toddlers, and Kids were distributed through Ozona Organics' website, and Amazon. The GoHealthy Probiotics for Infants, Kids, Men, and Women were also available at Walmart stores.

What are the health risks?

The reason for the recall is the potential for microbial growth in the products. Ozona Organics discovered that the formula in the affected products had high water activity, which could lead to microbial contamination. Such contamination poses a risk of foodborne illness, which may be harmful to consumers.

As of the announcement date, no illnesses related to the consumption of these products have been reported. However, as a precautionary measure, the company has issued a voluntary recall to ensure the safety of consumers.
