Although his wife Melania seems to be supporting him in his bid to become US president once again, there is another woman in the family he can apparently count on.

Melania Trump stands behind her husband

Melania Trump was out of the spotlight for a long time. Then it became clear: Donald Trump's wife had withdrawn from the public eye to be there for her mother, who died on January 9, 2024.

However, according to Politico, she made it clear last September that she fully supports her husband's decision to run for president again. As Fox News reports, she said the following in May last year:

My husband has achieved tremendous success in his first term, and he can lead us back to greatness and prosperity.

So far, however, she has kept a rather discreet distance from the 77-year-old's presidential campaign, and you will usually look in vain for her at appearances. However, Trump has an explanation for her absence, as Newsweek reports:

Her life revolves around this boy (son Barron), he is so important to her. She likes to keep her private life under wraps. It's funny, she was a very successful model, very, very successful, and yet she's always been rather reserved.
[People] love the fact that she's not traveling so much. You know, a lot of first ladies go out. They want to be everywhere. They get mad at their husband for not introducing them. If I didn't introduce Melania, she would be very happy about it. She's just a different kind of person.

In Melania's absence, there seems to be someone else in the family who is happy to publicly support Donald: His daughter-in-law Lara Trump, wife of his son Eric.

Trump's daughter-in-law does not shy away from public appearances

As the Daily Mail reports, Trump has 'endorsed Lara as co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC)'. Trump almost goes into raptures when he talks about his daughter-in-law, who has been dubbed as his 'secret weapon' by media:

Lara is an extremely talented communicator and is committed to everything MAGA [Make America Great Again] stands for. She told me that she wants to take on this challenge and that she will be great!

Politician Nancy Mace, who is a member of the United States House of Representatives, also seems to have nothing but good things to say about the 41-year-old. According to her, she is the politician's 'secret weapon'.
