Sometimes the eyes are simply bigger than the stomach. If you don't want to waste your food, simply reheat leftovers from the previous day. With pizza, however, that's not so easy if you want it to taste just as crispy as it did shortly after baking.

Anyone who heats up their food in the microwave sometimes has the problem not only that some parts are well heated while others are still really cold (this often happens because many people do not position the plate correctly), but also that this changes its consistency. Pizza, in particular, is sometimes a bit limp after a round amidst electromagnetic field energy. We reveal how to reheat your pizza so that it still tastes good on the second day.

Three ways to warm up pizza

First of all, it is important to mention that leftover food must be stored properly. If you still haven't moved the pizza to the fridge after two hours, you should take it on a trip to the bin. Worst case scenario? Food poisoning.

If you want to enjoy the Italian specialty warm again, there are several possibilities: in the microwave, in the oven or on a frying pan. The results vary in quality.

If you're in a hurry, you can of course reheat your favorite dish in the microwave. So that it doesn't taste quite so bland, you should put a cup of water on the plate and heat everything together for about 50 seconds. Also, be careful not to put too many leftover pizzas in the microwave, as this may cause the food to not warm up evenly. However, despite all the effort, the result will probably be only moderately satisfactory.

After their first attempts with the microwave, many people have understood that it has to be even better and bake their pizza again in the oven. This requires more patience, but significantly increases crispiness.

Just put your pizza in the oven at 200°C and leave it on the baking sheet for no longer than 10 minutes. According to Bravo, you can add a little olive oil to the pizza about two minutes before the end of baking to make it taste a little fresher.

Only in this way does pizza become crispy delicious again

The ultimate tip, however, is to put your pizza in a pan; because then it will taste as crispy as a good pizza should. To do this, use a non-stick pan and, most importantly, don't add any oil. Put the leftovers in the pan and reheat it over medium heat for about two minutes. After that, you should let the pizza continue to warm up for about a minute, covered. Add a few drops of water (no more than two or three) before that and you'll see: Your pizza can still taste crispy and fresh the next day.
