How many people did Jeffery Dahmer kill?

Dahmer’s trial brought to light about 17 victims that he drugged, strangled and raped. He committed his first murder by picking up a hitchhiker soon after graduating high school and went on a killing spree for about 13 years. Over time, he went on to commit more atrocious acts with the bodies of his victims.

He usually found his victims at gay bars or other public places and enticed them into going to his house, usually promising them money or sex. As per Women’s Health Magazine, he laced their drinks with drugs and would go on to kill them and dismember their bodies, and even kept parts of them as souvenirs.

Most of his victims were gay African-Americans, Asian and Hispanic, which shed light on institutionalized homophobia and racism which were rampant at the time in America.

Although he was convicted for 17 murders, there could be more victims who have suffered in Dahmer’s hands.
