Netflix's Queen Charlotte is a spin-off which was both unexpected and highly anticipated! The six-episode miniseries, which is not based on any of Julia Quinn's novels, follows a young queen called Charlotte (played by India Amarteifio) who is promised to King George III (played by Corey Mylchreest).

As it was already the case for the first two seasons of Bridgerton, viewers were able to enjoy many sex scenes, some of which have been quite graphic. During an interview with Variety, the two main actors of the show looked back on a hot sequence which was deleted in the final cut.

Queen Charlotte and King George III open up about sex scenes

In an interview with Variety, India Amarteifio and Corey Mylchreest, who play the lead couple in the spin-off miniseries, opened up about their intimate scenes. Amarteifio said:

They created such a safe space and making us feel as if we actually had a say in some of these scenes. You walk into a room sometimes, and it’s one thing to say, ‘Yeah, you can you can speak freely.’ It’s another thing of actually feeling that.

For Decider, the actors who embody Queen Charlotte and King George III also looked back on the intimate scene from episode 3, where the couple of newlyweds begins to copulate at the table, in front of the guards. But this sequence has apparently been shortened, according to the actors.

A hot scene with grapes cut in editing

Indeed, a sex scene involving a bunch of grapes was deleted from the episode. India Amarteifio mentioned the scene, saying it was still 'taboo' for her.

There’s a sequence with some grapes that didn’t quite make the cut.
We haven’t spoken about the grapes in about nine months.

Corey Mylchreest, who plays King George III, added:

Yeah, that was not, it was not good.

He then talked about the series' director, Tom Verica.

So Tom has brilliant ideas and will just have an image of something and go for it.
And I think the grapes was probably the one time in six months of shooting that didn’t work out. It was a slow motion [chuckles] sequence that was squashing of grapes on face.
