A lot has happened in the villa in the last 4 weeks from Molly Marsh's brutal dumping to her return during Casa Amor, the messy Casa Amor recoupling that dumped six Islanders, made one storm off the set and left 4 of the OG Islanders single.

Summer Love Island fans convinced Scott is being set-up

Tonight's episode (July 11) was one of the slowest ones in the series yet despite a recoupling. The boys picked who they wanted to couple with after the Casa Amor aftermath and everyone seems to be happy in their couple.

However, the recoupling order has made fans realise that Scott may be set up by show bosses for embarrassment. The 22-year-old footballer has shown interest in getting to know Abi despite her being in a couple with Mitch.

Abi is also keeping herself open as it's too soon to 'close things off' with Mitch. Knowing fully well that Scott would've picked Abi if they would've let him pick first, he was the last one to pick and was left with no one but Amber to couple up with. One fan took to Twitter and said:

I feel like every episode they're just trying to find new ways to put Scott down like?? What was that recoupling? And THEN to open the vote when he's with someone he clearly isn't compatible with?

A second said:

#loveisland have been messing with scott from the start, even when he first joined the villa he chose last in the recoupling, when does that ever happen? newbies always choose first

Love Island's Scott 'allegedly' a new target

After the recoupling order, the Islanders took part in a challenge 'Life's a beach.' By logic, Scott and Amber should've been the hosts as they're in a friendship couple, but Whitney and Lochan became the hosts instead. Pointing out the 'fishy' turn of events, one said:

why couldn’t scott & amber host the challenge since it’s a friendship couple? THIS SEEMS LIKE A SET UP TO ME

Two others chimed in:

Before the challenge started, I LITERALLY said, oh it’ll be those two hosting because they’re not an actual couple. Lo and behold, we see Whitney and Lochan hosting - most DEFINITELY a set up!!
Scott picking last, the friendship couple doesn't host the challenge, Abi suddenly doing a 180... I feel like Scott's being set up🤨

Towards the end of the show, Scott reiterated that accusations about him being a 'game player' are coming up again and Whitney remarked 'Maybe there's some truth to it' as the episode ended. Fans believe even the comment right before the public vote announcement is a set-up for Scott. One said:

Even Whitney’s comment to Scott’s face seemed staged. Everything seemed staged lol I know they were going off a script in todays episode for sure
