Why is Nigel Farage exempted from some trials on I'm A Celebrity?

In tonight's episode (November 21), public voted Jamie Lynn Spears to do the next bushtucker trial - Climb of Cruelty. Before announcing the voting results, show hosts Ant and Dec revealed that Nella Rose and Nigel Farage were 'exempted' from this trial on medical grounds.

Wondering what it is? We have the answer here for you. According to TheMirror, Nigel confirmed that he had an accident in 2010 - the plane crash - that still has a lingering effect on his health - a back injury he sustained. After the horrific plane crash, he underwent a surgery on his spine but is still asked to be careful about certain things. Before going on the show, he said:

Anything involving weightlifting, I'd be out. I've obviously had some quite serious physical injuries and neck reconstructions, and goodness knows what else.
So they are fully aware that I'm a little bit damaged when it comes to bodily structure. But having said that, I can still do most things.
I doubt any of the trials are actually going to kill me, although I don’t think they’ll all be a bag of fun. But look, I signed up for this. It's in for a penny in for a pound. So let's go.

Meanwhile, fans online were convinced that Nigel's exemption from the trial was a 'fixed' move to give Jamie Lynn Spears the trial. They took to X and shared:

#ImACeleb Making up that people are ruled out of certain trials to get others to be voted in. Nigel looked surprised.
😂 This is the most fixed I've ever seen #ImACeleb.. conveniently Nella & Nigel are ruled out & Jamie has a bad night, even saying 'I hope I don't get the trial tomorrow'. COME ON ITV, make your games less obvious
