However, the I’m a Celeb camp located in the Australian jungle was hit by a major storm. This led to the finishing touches on the camp and new trial areas being put on hold. A source has revealed the struggles the ITV team have faced due to the storm.

A major storm hit the I’m a Celeb camp

As per Daily Mail, a severe thunderstorm allegedly hit the I’m a Celeb camp a week before the show is programmed to start. The unexpected storm meant that at times, the finishing touches on the campsite and trial areas were put on hold.

The Sun reported that the I’m a Celeb jungle was hit by heavy rain and strong winds which forced them to stop working at times. The weather in New South Wales was so bad that the Aussie Bureau of Meteorology issued a warning for the area of Murwillumbah, which is where the I’m a Celeb camp is.

A source revealed:

Every minute counts at this stage of production, so even an hour stolen from the schedule is frustrating.
The rain and wind has been strong - definitely not what people think of for the Gold Coast.

The source then added that the weather should improve for the start of the show:

There's contingencies in place for all weather scenarios. Thankfully the weather forecast is looking dry and hot for the celebrities' arrivals.

The celebrities are arriving in Australia

As it is only a week to go until I’m a Celeb kicks off, some celebrities have been seen heading to Australia. The first to set off is Nigel Farage! The former political leader was seen at Heathrow Airport on Saturday, November 11.

Farahe allegedly flew to Australia in a Singapore Airlines suite cabin, which costs £8,000 for a one-way fare. Typically, celebrities entering the jungle are offered a business-class seat.
