Rumours have been circulating for a long time that Justin Bieber has addiction problems. From pictures of the ‘Sorry’ singer looking tired, haggard or sickly fans and critics have made assumptions that Beib’s has been getting into some unsavoury situations.

However in an Instagram post yesterday Justin addressed these claims by coming out with an incredible confession: “While a lot of people kept saying Justin Bieber looks like shit, on meth etc. they failed to realize I've been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my, skin, brain function, energy, and overall health.”
This came to as a shock to many of his fans and supporters who have been showing nothing but love and well wishes since the release of this information, prompting such comments as:
“LOVE YOU MAN ❤️ We are always here for you”
“adapt & overcome, nothing stops the king”
Lyme disease is an illness caused by bacteria carried by certain species of tick, luckily it is not contagious as you can only become infected by being bitten by a tick carrying the bacteria. However, typical recovery once diagnosed usually involves a 3-week course of antibiotics but in some cases, such as Justin’s symptoms can continue for years.
