Recently, she came out and spoke up about yet another small hurdle in her life, during one of her live shows. Delivered in a typical Adele style, her quirky tone and humour really gave a light take to her issue. And this time, it is about a skin condition that the ‘Rolling in the Deep’ singer is experiencing, here’s what it is.

Adele opens up about her condition

As per reports, Adele has openly and candidly spoken up about her fungal skin condition that she is experiencing in an ‘awkward’ part of her body, as a result of wearing Spanx.

She called it the ‘jock itch’, the one that happens around the groin area after profuse sweating in her Spanx shapewear. This seemed like a daily issue that she was facing, as she was performing in her Las Vegas residency.

What exactly did Adele say?

Adele went back to her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace after a rather long break. And while performing at her latest weekend show, she addressed her fungal condition, and how she was feeling extremely hot under the spotlight, and how she really needed a towel. As per The Independent, she said the following about her skin condition:

It is a bit crude but I never knew it existed. Obviously, when I do my shows I wear Spanx and keep it all in and make it fit me. And I sweat a lot and it doesn’t go anywhere. So basically I just sit in my sweat. And my doctor gave me jock itch [cream]. So it looks like I am an athlete basically, so I have to squirt it on myself. I don’t know why the f*** I just told you that. Talking of body acne, I have started weight-lifting again like no one’s business. And I am absolutely loving it

Needless to say, it looks like theHello’ singer is fighting her own battles, one Spanx at a time. But despite everything she endures, she never forgets to be real in front of her fans. And itch or not, fans were absolutely thrilled to see Adele perform after her long three-month break.

What is Adele doing now?

Adele seems to be loving the idea of being back after her long break. As per The Independent, she said the following, addressing her time away from the spotlight:

We had a very long break and I am gassed to be back. I was bored out of my brains. Somehow I missed you. It is a lovely change. I genuinely love doing these shows and it is the highlight of my week. I was desperate to get back. It is a whole new meaning.

Adele has a lot of things brewing in the pipeline, with an extension of the Las Vegas residency spilling into dates between June and November. She also is rumoured to have plans to release a concert film very soon. Titled Weekends With Adele, her series has been an ongoing hit, and it will also be extending till the end of her November stint in Vegas.

Besides work, everything seems to be going well for the ‘Someone Like You’ singer in her personal life. She seems pretty fulfilled with her Beverly Hills life, with boyfriend Rich Paul, and son Angelo.
