A significant drop in tourism

Due to the coronavirus, a strict quarantine period has been ordered. As a result, tourists aren’t allowed to travel. Travel agencies are closed, air travel isn’t even an option, hotels are closing, just like the borders in the Schengen area. Going on a cruise to discover distant wonders around the world isn’t an option anymore.

Nature is flourishing in Italy

Italy is a great example of this because, for the past few days, things seem to be changing. Such as in the watery city of Venice, for example, where, because the waterways are no longer being plagued by the multitude of gondolas, nature seems to be taking back the city.

The gripping footage shows the gondolas in Venice on a beautiful day. The water is clear and you can see fish swimming in the water below which is a real treat to witness!

In Sardinia, in the Port of Cagliari to be more specific, dolphins have even been spotted. It’s been a long time since the Sardinians have had the pleasure of witnessing these creatures showing off in the water.

It's clear that marine life is no longer being threatened by constant tourist activity, boat trips and cruises and that’s why marvels like this are occurring! As a result, we can probably expect to start seeing similar things in other parts of Europe as well.

A silver lining? See for yourself!
