We all know that colours have different meanings. This means that your wardrobe speaks volumes about who you are as a person without you even realising it - so let’s start decoding some of those messages:

White

White denotes someone clean, organised and sensible. Think about it: white is a symbol of purity, peace and simplicity. It's also the colour of innocence. So if you wear white clothes, people will most likely regard you as honest, hardworking and trustworthy - unless you wear it to a wedding.

Black

Black is a colour that indicates a sophisticated person. It can be worn by anyone, and doesn’t show off your personality as much as other colours do. Black shows that you are confident, or at least have high self-esteem.

Green

Green is the colour of balance and harmony, growth and renewal, nature and the earth, healing and peace, creativity and inspiration. The wearer of this colour may be interested in helping others in need or taking care of themselves.

Red

Red is associated with action, passion, power and love. It is a symbol of strength and courage. If you're interested in starting on the right foot with new acquaintances then definitely wear this vibrant shade so that people remember who you are once they meet you again somewhere else later down the road (such as maybe somewhere like Paris).

Burgundy

If you wear burgundy, you have a balanced and gentle personality. This colour is good for a worker who enjoys helping others and would rather avoid confrontation as much as possible. It's also appropriate for those who want to make sure they're doing the right thing at all times, a.k.a anxiety.

Brown

Brown is often a good colour for introverts and shy people because it's not as attention-grabbing as other colours, like red or yellow. Brown indicates a person who likes to keep things simple and doesn't like surprises.

If you want to put this theory to a test, try wearing the different colours for a day or two and see if you notice any behaviour change! If nothing else, it's an interesting experiment which could lead to some interesting conversations...
