Price Harry and Meghan Markle have decided that instead of wedding gifts, they'd prefer all attendees of the upcoming Royal Wedding make a donation to charity. An incredibly selfless act, however that's not going to stop The Queen from offering them a wedding gift fit for royalty. After seeing what she could have in store, we couldn't be more jealous.
A tradition that spans from Prince Andrew to Prince William
The Queen has always been known to be generous to members in the Royal Family. Historically, she has been known to steer clear of awarding small trinkets and jewellery to her family members, opting instead to give away entire estates.
Previous homes she's given away include Sunninghill Park to Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York for their 1996 wedding, as well as Anmer Hall to Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton following their marriage in 2011.
The girl for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
While not yet completely confirmed, sources say that The Queen is preparing to offer York Cottage in Sandringham, Norfolk to the newlyweds. The home, which was built in 1715, is currently being used as a holiday accommodation and for the estate staff.
