Following the death of their daughter, Petito’s family and their attorney took to the set of Dr Phil to discuss the strange and continuing disappearance of Gabby’s fiance and travel companion Brian Laundrie.

Police had been eager to talk to Laundrie about his fiance’s missing person’s case, only to find that he had vanished from his parents home and had been missing since Tuesday the 14th of September. An arrest warrant was then issued for Laundrie last month after the court ruled that he had unlawfully used a bank card, spending over $1,000.

Now, the Petito family and their attorney Richard Stafford have revealed that the credit card was, in fact, Gabby’s and that Brian had used the card after Gabby’s death. The transactions took place between the 30th of August and the 1st of September, with the FBI ruling that the influencer likely died between the 27th to the 30th of August.

Stafford explained: ‘I’m sure the FBI has a lot more evidence than we have. You could look at his state of mind by his actions.’

He ran. He stole her credit card. He used her credit card to get home and then ran from the police. That’s going to show what he was thinking.

Gabby’s father hits out at Laundrie family during Dr Phil interview

Stafford wasn’t the only one to come out with passionate claims during the Dr Phil interview, with Gabby’s father, Joe Petito, also furious with the actions of the Laundrie family throughout the entire process.

Joe Petito exclaimed that he didn’t think Brian has set out to kill himself, stating that he and anyone else who lives in the Laundrie’s Florida home ‘is a coward.’

They don’t know how to stand up for their actions.

Joe then called upon the Laundrie family once again to come forward with what they know and questioned why the family had not made significant efforts in the search for their son:

We couldn’t find Gabby. We did anything to find Gabby. What did they do to find Brian? I haven’t seen them on any TV shows... find Brian. Why do you think that is.

Dr Phil responded by stating there could only be two reasons behind the Laundrie family’s inaction: either Brian was no longer alive, or they did not want him found.

Is Brian Laundrie still missing?

Brian Laundrie was revealed missing by his parents on the 17th of September. The Laundrie’s explained that Brian had set off for a hike that Tuesday and had not returned.

Search teams have fruitlessly scoured the nearby massive Carlton Reserve. Now, almost three weeks later, Brian is still missing with Gabby’s family revealing to Dr Phil that they believe he may still be alive and surviving ‘somewhere off the beaten path.’

Theories also have it that Brian could be hiding out somewhere on the Appalachian Trail or in Fort De Soto National Park.

Brian’s sister Cassie has also come forward, telling ABC News audiences that she doesn’t know if Brian was involved in Gabby’s death or if his parents have been covering for him, but if true, they should come forward.
