The company is issuing a voluntary recall for a limited quantity of Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough 'break and bake' Bar (16.5 oz) due to the potential presence of foreign material.
The affected batch numbers are 311457531K and 311557534K. These products were produced on April 24 and 25, 2023, and have corresponding best by dates of 8/22/23 and 10/23/23.
It's important to note that this recall is not related to any other Nestlé Toll House products, including variations of refrigerated cookie dough in 'break and bake' bars, rolls, tubs, or Edible cookie dough.
Why is the product being recalled?
While there have been no reported illnesses or injuries associated with these batches of cookie dough, Nestlé USA is initiating the recall as a precautionary measure.
The concern arises from the potential presence of wood fragments in the affected products. They said:
We are taking this action out of an abundance of caution after a small number of consumers contacted Nestlé USA about this issue.
We are confident that this is an isolated issue and we have taken action to address.
