'I think Harry has been used horribly': Donald Trump takes a jab at Meghan Markle

In a new interview, former President Donald Trump criticised Meghan Markle for being disrespectful to the British royal family. He also claimed that Prince Harry has been ‘used horribly.’ According to the Press Association, Trump made the remarks in a filmed chat with Nigel Farage, a British broadcaster and politician.

The interview will air on GB News on Wednesday night. Trump's scathing remarks were almost identical to those he made in September 2020, when he mocked the Sussexes after they endorsed Joe Biden for president.

Not a fan

Ever since the Duke of Sussex married Meghan Markle in a lavish royal ceremony in 2018, Trump has not been a fan of the Duchess. He admitted it in his interview with Nigel Farage and said:

I'm not a fan of hers. I wasn't from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly and I think someday he will regret it.

He even took a further dig at Meghan and accused her of being the culprit in Harry’s problematic life with the royal family.

I think Harry's been used and been used terribly. I think it's ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen.
She is trying to do things that I think are very inappropriate. I think she's very disrespectful to the Royal Family and most importantly to the Queen.

Trump is anti-Sussexes

Trump has never been very fond of Meghan and in his dislike towards the Duchess, the Duke gets rolled in too. In 2019, he told The Sun that Meghan was ‘nasty’ as a response to her calling out Trump for being a divisive and misogynist. As such, when the couple decided to move to the US after parting ways with the royal family, Trump was clear to not give them a warm welcome. Rather, he tweeted:

I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada.
Now they have left Canada for the US however, the US will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!

Trump has always professed great respect for the Queen, hence, it is not surprising to see he is so vocal about his dislike towards Meghan.
