Its makers have been close-lipped about many secrets regarding RHOBH. But over the years, the housewives have disclosed many secret details of the show. And to top that, its producers have also hinted at and revealed small scraps of information in interviews that most people may not know. Here are some juicy secrets about the show that an average fan may not know.

The house-husband

Despite the show being called ‘housewives’, there were talks to have a house-husband on board. While the idea was still being debated, the makers apparently wanted to cast a queer person first, before featuring a husband. They went on to cast a queer housewife for The Real Housewives of New York. Fans can expect to see a house-husband really soon.

The secret show bible

Most television shows have a show bible that dives into every aspect of every character/storyline of the show. According to Screenrant, RHOBH also has a show bible that goes into every tiny detail of its cast members. But since the show apparently has non-scripted scenes, it gets a little challenging to take the show's bible seriously.

The case of the deleted footage

At the end of the day, it is up to the editors and producers of a show to decide what footage to retain and what to delete. But apparently, this doesn’t stop the housewives from trying to delete unflattering footage of themselves. They do so by breaking the fourth wall and actively trying to get the footage deleted.

Friends turned housewives

The producers generally like to choose friends of existing housewives as new cast members. Since they already have their history and tensions, the show works well in terms of a solid storyline.
