Love is Blind: Former contestant reveals surprising reason why not all couples are filmed

Some viewers of the Love is Blind show are perplexed as to why some contestants are treated more favorably by the show's producers. Couples who don’t make any significant connections are automatically sidelined to make way for those whose impact is felt on the love-matched reality show.

Kelly Chase, a former couple show contestant, has demystified the situation and stated the facts. Chase, who hooked up with Kenny Barnes but later split up, took to Tiktok to share a detailed behind-the-scenes look at the show.

She claims that only a few of the 30 people who use the show to find love are captured because they are the ones who makegenuine connections.

Reason for the sideline

According to the Independent, Chase stated that,

Not every couple is filmed, So, there’s 15 guys and 15 girls at the start and there are probably five men and women who get released within the first couple of days because they are not really making strong connections with anybody.

Chase added that just 10 men and 10 women remain, but of these, the viewer is only shown five couples getting engaged:

But with season one we actually had eight couples get engaged.

Chase claims she has no idea why three of the couples' storylines were not filmed, but she attributes it to a budget cut:

They just cut them and let them figure out their engagement or whatever outside of the show

Chase explained in another video that the show's timeline has contestants dating for eight or nine days, and then all of the couples who find love get engaged on the same day, which also means the reveals are on the same day. Chase confirmed that this means contestants who propose to two different people propose on the same day. She added:

So by the engagement day you’ve narrowed it down to the top two people.

Couples from season one who are still together

This successfulNetflix series has seen some of the season’s love stories grow stronger. Screen Rant has listed some of the couples who are still together and their success stories. The contestants include Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton, who were one of season one’s favourite couples.

The couple launched their own YouTube channel, Hanging with the Hamiltons, after the show. They have nearly 700,000 followers and have written a book titled "Leap of Faith."

Amber Pike and Matt Barnett are the other pair who are still in the love net. Though fans were pessimistic about their love affair due to all the drama that surrounded it, they have proven them wrong.

Love is Blind premiered in 2020, with viewers trapped in witnessing contestants of the show first entering marriage without first seeing their prospective partner in real life, as well as all the drama that comes with it.
