The show has seen several proposals and some really gorgeous engagement rings. Some contestants use their family heirlooms for the proposal, like Kyle Abrams did in the previous season.

But this isn’t always the case; producers also give the contestants rings to choose from. Here’s how the contestants choose their engagement rings.

The inside scoop of the engagement rings

As per Cosmopolitan, the show's creator, Chris Coelen admitted in an interview that the participants don’t necessarily need to bring their own rings. In fact, there need not be a ring for the proposal if the contestants don’t want it. However, if they plan on proposing with a ring and need one, the show provides it for them.

Since the show involves staying in a facility that houses the pods, the contestants don’t get to go ring shopping during the course of the experiment.

How do the contestants choose a ring?

In order to make the proposal process seamless, the show has a standard set of 10-12 rings that the contestants can choose from. There are different styles and colors, and the rings come from a jewelry company called Bridal Rings Company, according to Women’s Health Magazine.

This is probably why many of the contestant’s rings look strikingly similar in style. Although, it is rumored that every ring is unique in its own way, and no two rings are exactly the same.

The show allegedly pays for these diamond engagement rings that the contestants get to keep, no matter what. But, the contestants have to pay extra in case they want to embellish the jewelry further or add more details to it.
