I’m A Celeb fans furious for ‘angry snakes’ trial with Carol Vorderman: ‘Seemed a bit unfair’

The I'm A Celeb All-Star South Africa series, which hinted at an explosive feud since the start, is taking trials up a notch. After the highest trial ever in the history of the show, last night’s episode saw Carol Vorderman and Fatima Whitbread take part in a scary trial called Tanks of Torment. The two had to go through the usual drill of completing the trials to collect stars and get food for the camp.

I’m A Celeb fans defend Carol after ‘unfair’ Tanks of Torment trial

The 62-year-old TV presenter had to swim through a series of tanks filled with crocs and snakes while collecting stars. Carol had to swim through four tanks to collect stars but she could only move through the doors of the tank when Fatima separated them. Meaning, as Carol swam through crocs and snakes, Fatima cranked the handles of the doors outside to give her space to move.

Carol - who previously teased the series would be ‘brutal’ - did an amazing job and earned 7 stars before she gave up right before the final tank that had a gigantic snake. The TV star got emotional as she failed to complete the task, however, I’m A Celeb fans jumped in to defend her. According to Daily Star, fans felt the trial was ‘unfair’ and she did her best. One took to Twitter and wrote:

Seemed a bit unfair to have a bloody great big snake in the breathing hole but it was Carole so who gives a f***?

Another two added:

The snakes seem far angrier in South Africa than in Australia, can’t blame her for not wanting to do that one.
Snake in the breathing hole? Don’t blame you Carol

While two others chimed in:

Brave Carol, you could see she tried her very best.
Seeing Carol under water in a confined space with only a small thing with air makes me feel uneasy.
