ITV bosses pulling all strings to make sure that the Reboot is given the love and appreciation that it deserves. Here’s what’s happening!

Big Brother Reboot to air on ITV1

According to The Sun, Big Brother’s Reboot will air on ITV1 this year. This would be Big Brother’s most prominent location ever since it started on Channel 4 in 2000 and shifted to Channel 5 in 2011.

A TV insider said:

ITV wanted to make sure the comeback landed with a bang so they will kick things off by giving it the most high-profile spot possible.
They’re hoping that a sensational start will hook the maximum number of viewers on the main channel, then bring them across to ITV2 for the rest of the series.

Emphasising how the show bosses are trying hard to create the hype for Big Brother again, the source added:

This is something which has never been done before. Even when Love Island was at the height of its pulling power, it never had a launch show on ITV1.
Bosses really want the BB reboot to work and are hoping it will prove just as sensational as when it first launched 23 years ago.

Additionally, it is confirmed that ITV has already made a commitment to release a minimum of two series of BB - one this autumn and another one, next year. If that wasn’t enough, telly bosses have also hinted that there’s a possibility of a celebrity spin-off version of the show.

The new BB Reboot will be hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best and has a new logo that has been well-received by fans.
