Here’s everything you need to know about the show before it airs!

What is Big Brother’s start date?

The iconic reality TV show will be launched on Sunday, October 8 at 9pm on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX, confirmed ITV. Viewers will see the new housemates arrive at the famous destination - the BB house - in front of a live studio audience. The new BB house has been given a 'new contemporary' look.

As tasks, nominations and live evictions all return, the public will play 'a crucial role, voting throughout the series and ultimately determining the winner, who will walk away with a life-changing cash prize.'

BB UK reboot will not run the 24/7 live feed as it did from 2000 until 2018. However, ITV has confirmed footage from the house 'will be live streamed into the small hours every night on ITV after the Big Brother companion show.' Big Brother: Live Stream will air seven nights a week exclusively on ITVX.

Who is hosting Big Brother this time?

The Mirror confirmed that AJ Odudu and Will Best are the new hosts of Big Brother. The two will share iconic duties of elimination every week, quizzing housemates on all of the goings in the house. AJ Odudu is a Big Brother alumni and previously hosted the bonus show, Big Brother's Bit On the Side with Rylan Clarke in 2013.

Will Best is best known for being on T4, Channel 4's weekly music show.

Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning for ITV2 and ITVX said:

AJ and Will really are our perfect pairing as we prepare to reintroduce Big Brother to the next generation.
With a genuine chemistry, both of them will bring effortless wit, charm and heaps of character to their roles and we’re delighted to be working with them both again.

BB UK will be followed each night by a new show hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best - Big Brother: Late & Live. The spin-off will air from the site of the Big Brother house in front of a studio audience.

What’s the line-up for Big Brother?

Applications to star on the show closed June 30th this year, but no official lineup list has yet been released. However, show bosses are said to be ‘keen to recapture the magic that made the programme such a hit.’ Meaning, many OG Big Brother celebs could be thrown into the mix again,

A source said:

It won’t be a reboot full of old faces, it’s likely to be a smattering rather than a deluge of BB veterans.
They know that they need the random mix of people that featured in the original C4 version, so this is a way to help achieve that.

Big names like Chanelle Hayes, Makosi Musambasi, Nadia Almada and Nick Bateman are rumoured to be a part of the show.

While the show bosses haven't revealed the official lineup, they have promised 'a new cast of carefully selected housemates, from all walks of life.'

The new Big Brother logo

For its return after 5 years, Big Brother’s iconic eye has also undergone a makeover. The new logo features an eye with a mix of bold colours and symbols as the channel adopts a retro-maximalist design.
