However, despite the critical and sensitive affair, BGT’s judge Amanda Holden is rumoured to take Paul’s place on the show.

Amana Holden could host For The Love of Dogs

Show bosses are in hopes to continue money-spinning series even after the legendary TV personality’s death. Finding a perfect is just one ‘challenging’ task that lies ahead of them, considering Paul’s popularity and his love for dogs. ITV feels that the 67-year-old presenter, who had ongoing health issues before his death, would've wanted the show to continue, reported The Sun.

ITV bosses are considering Amanda Holden to take his place as the BGT judge was Paul’s friend and is an ambassador for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home where the show is based. A TV insider claimed:

Execs just feel like it’s too soon to make firm plans about the series, as it’s barely been two months since he died.
But the feeling at home is that it’s what Paul would have wanted. After all, he cared deeply about the animals in Battersea.
Amanda is the natural choice to take over the job, not just because she’s a seasoned presenter but because she also cares about the home and would do anything for them.

Fans react to Amanda Holden’s possible replacement idea

Fans who are still getting over Paul's death have a rather straightforward reaction to the news. Seeing one of the projects he was most proud of being replaced by someone else is a tough pill to swallow for them.

After the word hit the street, many fans took to Twitter and expressed their disapproval of it. They wrote:

This is an awful idea; it worked well with Paul O Grady so please just leave it as it is and let us remember him
That’s a terrible idea.
As much as I love the show, it's Paul's show and no one can take his place.

Most of them believed that no matter who replaces Paul, the show just wouldn’t be the same. The said:

No thanks, It just would not be the same
I for one wouldn’t be happy. It’s Paul’s show, he made it into the success it is today and it wouldn’t be fair on him to continue it
Wouldn't be the same with Paul O'Grady I'm afraid.
