Meghan Markle offered ‘dream role’ to return to Suits after 6 long years

However, as Meghan and Prince Harry are trying to rebuild their life away from their Royal lineage, the world has become their oyster. From their Netflix deal to a 4-book deal and public speaking engagements, a lot of media engagements are in the works for the Sussex couple.

Amidst this, rumours suggest that Meghan Markle may return to acting in 2024 and her return is going to be HUGE! Reportedly, the Duchess could return to an upcoming Suits spin-off as a ‘tailor-made’ has been made just to get her on the show. Senior executives of studio giant NBCUniversal told The Express that a green light has been given to Suits: Los Angeles.

Many episodes of the show have already been written by Meghan’s friend Aaron Korsch - who also created the original show that ran for nine years. The senior production source revealed that contract talks between the network and Meghan’s management powerhouse talent agency WME are ongoing and Meghan holds the power in this dynamic. The source said:

This is shaping up to be one of the biggest TV deals of the year.
Meghan is in a commanding position. They want to expand a successful franchise in which she has a ready-made fan base of millions worldwide. They want her back and they are prepared to pay what it takes to get her.

The source hinted that an official announcement could hit the media as soon as next month. Meghan’s ‘dream role’ character would be a female lead who bears an uncanny resemblance to her previous character (Rachel Zane) and a new ‘tailor-made’ version of the Duchess. She could also make her debut as a Hollywood director in this upcoming spin-off of the show. This comes after it was reported that Meghan’s return to Hollywood could help her earn over £300,000.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix deal

Meghan’s original series Suits became a surprise industry sensation last year after it was made available on Netflix. It is understood Meghan Markle has a love-hate relationship with the streaming gain as her and Prince Harry’s Netflix deal is still in jeopardy but the couple may need it more than they realise.

According to a PR expert, Ryan McCormick, the Sussexes need to hold onto the Netflix deal 'desperately.’ Speaking to the Mirror, Ryan shared that ‘Netflix had around 247.2million paid subscribers worldwide as of the third quarter of 2023’ Adding that even non-Royals fans could be interested in the couple, he explained:

This is a deal that they cannot afford to lose.
I highly recommend they do everything possible to win the hearts and minds of Netflix executives because if they don't, it's going to be a PR disaster for them...
