Now that Meghan and Prince Harry have left The Firm, Meghan could choose to start acting again. However, so far, the Duchess of Sussex has kept a low profile in Hollywood. According to rumours, this could be changing soon as one of her former co-stars hints about a spin-off series.

Meghan Markle's co-star teased a Suits spin-off series

Meghan Markle’s former co-star, Patrick J. Adams, teased Suits fans at the Golden Globe Awards about a spin-off series following his and Meghan’s characters, Mike Ross and Rachel Zane.

The two tied the knot on the show and left for Seattle to set up their own law firm. Adams said at the Golden Globe Awards:

Yes, yes let's go, I'll do it. Yeah I'm ready, Mike and Rachel in Seattle.

He also said he ‘hopes she comes back’ when asked whether Meghan would return to the show.

How much does Meghan Markle earn from Suits?

As reported by Mirror, Meghan Markle earned £37,000 per episode of Suits and recorded over 100 episodes, which makes her annual salary at the time £333,000. Moreover, Meghan earns money from royalties each time an episode is aired in the US or on the NBA Peacock streaming service, as part of her contract.

PR expert Mayah Riaz weighed in on whether or not Meghan would return to her role as Rachel Zane. She explained that for the Duchess of Sussex, returning to the show would be a ‘strategic move’ and would give her an 'opportunity to reconnect with her loyal fan base’.

It would provide her with an opportunity to reconnect with her loyal fan base and potentially attract new viewers to the show.

She does add that she believes Meghan would only return for a ‘cameo’ and not full-time:

However, if Meghan would return to Suits, it would be for a cameo role rather than appearing in a longer story line.

Meghan Markle wouldn’t only return to Suits for the money

Mayah Riaz told Mirror that if Meghan returned to her former show, she would ask for more money than she was earning before, between £235,000-£314,000 per episode:

In terms of her fee, given Meghan's increased profile since leaving Suits, it is reasonable to expect that her asking price would be significantly higher than her previous salary.

Finally, she added that Meghan wouldn’t return to Suits for the money:

There could be an opportunity to explore potential profit-sharing or backend deals to maximise this figure. Whether Meghan returns to Suits in any form will not be due the financial element.

Indeed, Meghan has spoken fondly of her time on the show and even said it was like a ‘whole family’ at the ATX Television Festival in 2017:

We were in a group email the other day, and I was saying we'd all lived in the same corporate housing — so on top of working together, we were living together — which makes a whole different dynamic, I think. We just became this whole family right out the gate.
