Since signing the deal with Netflix, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released a six-part documentary called Harry and Meghan in December 2022, which gave some insight into their lives when they were part of the firm.

Then, on New Year’s Eve, the couple released another documentary called Live to Lead, which was about global leaders who have fought for social justice. Prince Harry's documentary about the Invictus Games is set to come to Netflix next month.

However, with the recent upset in the filming industry, their Netflix projects may be in jeopardy.

Prince Harry and Meghan have another documentary

As reported by Daily Mail, Prince Harry and Meghan have plans for a 4th documentary on Netflix. This one will highlight the humanitarian issues in South Africa and show both of them meeting local communities.

However, a source revealed to Telegraph, that the couple were finding it ‘tough’ to move on with their projects due to the ongoing writer and actor strikes in the US. Indeed there were strikes in front of major studios such as Netflix, Warner Bros, Disney and Paramount in Los Angeles.

Because of the strikes, Prince Harry and Meghan cannot move forward with the production of their Netflix documentary. It is unclear what exactly will be featured in their documentary, but sources suggest we may see the couple helping build houses in South Africa.

A source said:

Meghan is particularly keen to share information about giving birth safely with the women she meets.

Strikes in Hollywood

Hollywood writers have been on strike for a while now, and Hollywood actors have joined forces. According to Daily Mail, around 160,000 actors are on strike including big names like Hilary Duff, Kevin Bacon and Mark Ruffalo.

The current Hollywood strike is the largest in the industry in the last 60 years. The strikes are over labour disputes for Hollywood writers. A lot of film productions have been put on hold as writers and actors have been walking out.

Indeed even big franchises like Avatar are being majorly affected by the ongoing issues.
