US right-wing activist convinced Brigitte Macron is a man: 'I would stake my professional reputation on it'

French President Emmanuel Macron's wife, Brigitte, has been the victim of gruesome rumours ever since her husband took office in 2017. However, these talks have now reached the US.

In recent weeks, rumors have been circulating that the wife of French President Brigitte Macron has not always been a woman. Although the 70-year-old has been taking legal action against the unfounded allegations for several years, the right-wing conservative commentator Candace Owens is now intervening in the debate with her very own opinion.

A few days ago, Tiphaine Auzière, daughter of Brigitte Macron, spoke out about the rumor that her mother was born a boy and lived as a man for a long time. In her Candace Owens podcast, the US activist now claims that this is not just a simple rumour.

Known for controversial opinions

Candace Owens is a highly controversial figure. Among other things, the 34-year-old has not only shown herself to be skeptical about global warming, but also publicly supports Donald Trump and has made statements that one expert clearly describes as 'medical misinformation'.

Given her sometimes controversial viewpoints, it is perhaps not surprising that she gets involved in a debate that shouldn't really be one and has her own, rather entrenched opinion on the matter.

'I would stake my professional reputation on it'

Brigitte Macron allegedly decided to live as a woman at the age of 30; her former husband, with whom she has children, is said to have never existed.

Owens is so sure of her cause, in fact, that she even claims on X to be putting her reputation on the line for the crude allegations:

Having investigated this, I would stake my entire professional reputation on the fact that Brigitte Macron is indeed a man. Any journalist or publication that tries to dismiss this plausibility is immediately recognizable as establishment.

Owens refers with her arguments to an old article in the Daily Mail,in which the rumor is clearly refuted.

Weak evidence

Among other things, an old family photo showing both Brigitte and her brother is said to serve as proof. According to Candace Owens, the children are one and the same person. She also says that it is particularly revealing that there are said to be no photos of the French First Lady that show her before the age of 30:

The first obvious thing is that the First Lady is simply unable to provide photos of herself from the first 30 years of her life. There would be so many photos available to Brigitte if this is wrong.

Emmanuel Macron only recently commented on the hurtful rumor. According to Der Spiegel, he said:

The worst thing is that people end up believing it and annoying you, even in your private life.

It could perhaps only be a matter of time before the video disappears from the platform again. At least it wouldn't be surprising.
