Dancing On Ice’s new host Stephen Mulhern has made an impressive career for himself. Since bursting onto the showbiz scene as a CITV presenter in the 90s, he has gone on to become one of the most in-demand stars on TV. He has now successfully replaced Phillip Schofield, who left ITV in May 2023, as the new host of Dancing On Ice and his presence on the show has also encouraged Holly Willoughby to be back on the show.

Stephen Mulhern: What all shows has he presented? A look into his career so far

Stephen began his career in 1998 on CITV with children's TV show Finger Tips with Fearne Cotton. He went on to enjoy a solo presenting stint with children's show Tricky TV from 2005 to 2010 and co-hosted Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown (originally called Ministry of Mayhem) with Holly Willoughby, confirmed MailOnline.

His leap into TV for adults began in 2006 when he presented the ITV2 spin-off Dancing on Ice: Defrosted for the first time. Stephen also co-hosted Inside The Hub a small segment on This Morning with Phil and Holly. While ITV may not have chosen him for presenting a main show in the early 2000s, he was a popular choice for spin-offs. He ended up hosting another spin-off - Britain's Got More Talent - as Ant and Dec hosted the main show.

His first primetime hosting gig came in 2010 when he fronted Magic Numbers on ITV. Three years later, he landed the revived version of the ITV game show Catchphrase. Other shows include: ITV's Big Star's Little Star, Sunday Side Up, Get Your Act Together and ITV2 panel show Reality Bites.

Stephen has also hosted many jobs alongside Ant and Dec with one being particularly famous - his role as the presenter of the Ant vs Dec segment on Ant & Dec's SaturdayNightTakeaway. Apart from TV work, the 46-year-old has hosted Sunday Mornings on Heart Radio with Emma Willis, who has also landed a gig as host for Love Is Blind UK, for six years until 2018 and is a regular stand-in on Virgin Radio UK. Interestingly enough, Stephen’s first career choice was being a magician.

He started learning tricks from his father at the age of 11 and eventually hosted many magic shows on TV, including Quick Trick Show and Tricky TV. Stephen also stood in for Ant and Dec for Britain's Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician when the presenting duo caught Covid days before filming.

What is Stephen Mulhern’s net worth?

With a list on never-ending TV and presenting gigs alongside big names and popular TV Channels, Stephen Mulhern took home over £2,000 a day last year alone. According to the Mirror, his work took his personal wealth up to nearly £5 million.

The former Magician’s assets rose from £ 4.1 million to £ 4.91 million in the year ending February 2022.

Joking that he only gets roles ‘Ant and Dec don’t want’, Stephen has managed to build a net worth of $3 million, roughly £2,600,000, as per Celebrity Net Worth.
