‘I’m a Lion Queen’

The iconic pop star has landed in Brisbane ahead of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. For some reason, Boy George decided to arrive in Australia wearing a lion mask. Is this a hint that he thinks he will win the show or is it simply for a laugh?

It seems to be both. After landing at the airport, The Sun asked Boy Geroge if he would be taking part in the eating trials, the 61-year-old vegan singer replied:

I'm here to do a version of the Lion Queen.

The newspaper wasn’t satisfied with his answered and pushed the subject. Finally, he said he’s a ‘vegan lion’ also adding:

I'm a Lion Queen, I have told you, I love all creatures.

The Sun also asked if the singer intended to keep the mask once in the jungle, to which Boy George said:

Let's hope so.

Throwing shade at I’m a Celeb?

It would seem that originally the Karma Chameleon singer never thought he would be on I’m a Celeb. Indeed earlier this year, Boy George was a guest on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

He performed his iconic song on the show, and after his performance, the TV duo asked Boy George the meaning behind the name of his song. In true diva style, the pop singer replied:

It means I'll never have to say I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

In the end, it might not actually stop the star from saying the iconic words, especially since he is reported to be the highest-paid contestant.
